TRANSFER NEWS - Roque's Barcelona Dream Cut Short

Barcelona are set to offload Brazilian wonderkid Vitor Roque just eight months after his arrival. The club's sporting director, Deco, has jetted to Portugal to finalize a deal with Sporting CP for the young forward.

Despite Roque turning down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia and Premier League clubs, financial constraints have forced Barcelona's hand. The Catalan giants are seeking a €30 million fee for the player, with Sporting CP reportedly agreeing to an initial €20 million, plus €10 million in add-ons.

The move comes as Barcelona grapple with financial fair play issues, preventing them from registering new signings Dani Olmo and Ronald Araujo. Selling Roque could provide much-needed funds to address the club's financial woes.

As the transfer window winds down, the spotlight is on Barcelona to resolve their squad registration issues while securing a deal for Roque.
