Nigerian Passport Fees to Increase in September - F.G.

The Federal Government has announced that the fees for obtaining a Nigerian Passport will be adjusted effective September 1, 2024. The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) cited the need to maintain the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport as the reason for the increase.

The new fee structure will see the cost of a 32-page Passport booklet with a 5-year validity rise from N35,000 to N50,000. The 64-page Passport booklet with a 10-year validity will increase from N70,000 to N100,000. It's important to note that these changes only apply to Nigerian citizens residing within the country.
