Nigerian actor Adedimeji Lateef has shared exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from his highly anticipated upcoming movie, "Lisabi." This historical biopic delves into the life and adventures of the Egba Warrior farmer, a legendary figure who led the Egba people in their struggle for independence from the Alaafin of Oyo.
Lateef expressed his passion for preserving and promoting Nigerian culture through film, emphasizing the importance of connecting with history in today's digital age. "Lisabi" aims to bring the captivating story of this iconic figure to life, captivating audiences with its historical significance and compelling narrative.
Executive produced by Adedimeji Lateef himself, produced by Adebimpe Lateef, and directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, "Lisabi" boasts an impressive cast featuring renowned actors such as Femi Adebayo Salami, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Itele Yekini, Ibrahim Chattah, Mr Macaroni, Mo Bimpe, Eniola Ajao, Liquorose Afije, and Adedimeji Lateef himself.
The film will be released in two parts on Netflix: "Lisabi: The Uprising" on December 27th and "Lisabi: A Legend is Born" in January 2025.
