Nottingham Forest Extends Contract of Nigerian Defender Ola Aina

Nottingham Forest have secured the future of defender Ola Aina by triggering a one-year extension in his contract.

Aina arrived at the City Ground last summer on a free transfer, quickly establishing himself as a key player for Steve Cooper's side [update manager name if it's not Steve Cooper anymore]. The 27-year-old Nigerian (not 22) made 22 appearances throughout the season, even bagging a Goal of the Month award.

Aina expressed his delight at the extension: "I've been really happy with my time here at Forest and the fans have been great. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the future holds."

Chief Football Officer Ross Wilson spoke highly of Aina's contributions: "Since Ola joined the club last summer, he has impressed all of us with his performances both on and off the pitch. He brings a positive personality to the group every day. We are delighted that he will move forward with us."

This extension ensures Aina will remain with Nottingham Forest until June 2025.
